Arcturus

The 142' schooner Arcturus slid beneath the waves to join those that came before her and the others that were to follow....in "Shipwreck Alley" of lake Huron. Built in 1853, she was to serve for 35 years while becoming known as a "coffin ship" to her master, Captain John Price, and those that sailed her into oblivion on that fateful August evening. Her dive into history has preserved an intact, two-masted schooner with masts and rigging standing 113 years later, The wheel is still in place and there is a huge cache of crocks and dishes in her cabin area. Share the excitement of this deep water discovery and the exploration of a virgin shipwreck in the Great Lakes!
