Steamer Detroit

The side wheel steamer Detroit steamed into history on May 25, 1854 when she collided with the barque Nucleus and sank. Share the excitement as seen through the eyes of the divers and explorers as we swim across the decks and paddlewheels of the intact ship. Having rested quietly on the floor of Lake Huron for 140 years, she is a significant historical discovery that represents early navigation on the Great Lakes.
